Accommodation management and social assistance for homeless people and refugees
Accommodation for refugees and involuntarily homeless people
The Accommodation Management department prepares the renting and unrenting of accommodation for refugees and homeless people. The department consists of three teams.
Emergency housing assistance
The Housing Emergency Assistance and Housing Supervision team examines, among other things, building law issues if tenants have unsuccessfully demanded that the landlord rectify them. It also checks whether homeless people meet the requirements for accommodation in accordance with the Hessian Security and Public Order Act (HSOG), issues referrals, sets cost contributions and, together with the housing case management team, arranges placement in the Housing First housing model.
For involuntarily homeless families and single homeless people who cannot stay in the men's or women's hostel for an important reason, the admissions management team arranges a temporary place in accommodation. For this purpose, an application for accommodation must be submitted to the emergency housing assistance service.
The prevention of loss of accommodation for people who are not in receipt of benefits under Social Code Part II or XII is also one of the tasks of the department.
Reception and accommodation management for refugees and late resettlers
The Reception and Accommodation Management team places refugees and late repatriates assigned to Wiesbaden in accommodation. In cooperation with Social Work in Accommodation, the Reception Management team decides on the allocation of places in the accommodation and takes care of building management.
