Accommodation for refugees and involuntarily homeless people

The Reception and Accommodation Management department accommodates refugees and late repatriates assigned to Wiesbaden in shared accommodation.

For involuntarily homeless families and single homeless people who cannot stay in a men's or women's hostel for an important reason, the Reception Management temporarily arranges a place in emergency accommodation. For this purpose, an application for accommodation in emergency accommodation must be submitted to the emergency housing assistance service.

The prevention of loss of accommodation for people who are not in receipt of benefits under Social Code Part II or XII is also one of the tasks of the department.

In special life situations associated with homelessness, the housing case management team provides advice and refers people to specialist agencies that specialize in certain problems (e.g. addiction or debt).
