State capital Wiesbaden
Social benefit and job centers
The civil right to a social city is one of the foundations of the high urban quality of life in Wiesbaden; preserving it and shaping it together with the people of this city is the task of the combined offices "Office for Social Work" and "Social Benefits and Job Center", which is fulfilled on the basis of three objectives:
- To ensure a decent livelihood
- To promote independent living on one's own responsibility
- To open up opportunities to shape personal and communal living conditions.
The Office for Social Work in conjunction with the Social Benefits and Job Center is the right contact for
- the education and upbringing of children and young people and their protection
- material emergencies, such as after prolonged unemployment
- the need for care or disability
- insufficient income and maintenance
- finding accommodation and the threat of losing your home
- Interest in getting socially involved
