Municipal job center

Basic income support for jobseekers (Social Code Book II, SGB II) is intended to enable those entitled to benefits to lead a life that is in keeping with human dignity.

The state capital of Wiesbaden implements SGB II in the Social Benefits and Job Center in the Municipal Job Center (KJC). The KJC consists of the following areas:

  • Benefits for living expenses
    This department provides basic material security in the form of ongoing and one-off benefits for living expenses.
  • Municipal employment services
    The municipal employment agency advises jobseekers and those looking for a training place on issues relating to integration into the labor market. Customers are supported here in their integration into the labor market.
  • Employer and placement service - AVS
    The employer service supports employers in their search for and selection of personnel. It places jobseekers in suitable jobs.
  • Benefits for education and participation (BuT)
    Among other things, BuT benefits finance participation in culture, sport, leisure activities etc. for children and young people under the age of 18.
  • Equal opportunities officer
    Systematized service processes and integration offers are established, in particular for women with special requirements regarding the compatibility of work and family.

Opening hours

The individual departments of the Municipal Job Center can be found at different locations within the city and have different opening hours. The locations and opening hours of the departments can be found under the respective services or can be obtained from the department secretariat.
