Parenting and family life - advice and support

Children, young people and parents can turn to parenting and family advice centers with general and specific questions about parenting. These counseling centers are also available in the event of personal or family-related problems as well as questions and conflicts in connection with the separation and divorce of parents.

Of course, other guardians or single parents can also make use of the counseling services.
Children and young people can also turn to a counseling center or seek support without their parents being present.
In addition to the parenting and family counseling centers, the General Social Service of the Youth Welfare Office offers help and support.
In addition to the aforementioned counseling services, parents, children and young people can also access a virtual counseling service on the Internet.

Different circumstances can be the reason for seeking advice from a counseling center: for example, depending on the age of the child or adolescent, developmental delays, sleeping, eating and speech disorders or anxiety can occur.
At school age, performance and behavioral problems sometimes occur, which can increase in intensity during puberty. Parents often feel overwhelmed with their educational tasks.

Sometimes parents' relationship difficulties also require professional help, or problems arise during separation and divorce. Parenting and family counseling centers provide valuable support and guidance for the necessary conflict resolution.

Parents and other guardians have a legal right to educational counseling.
The necessary discussions and consultations are free of chargefor all those seeking advice.
