The data protection officer

In accordance with Art. 39 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Section 7 of the Hessian Data Protection and Freedom of Information Act (HDSIG), the official data protection officer of the state capital of Wiesbaden is responsible for the following core tasks

  • informing and advising the highest level of authorities, the organizational units and the employees of the state capital of Wiesbaden in all matters relevant to data protection
  • monitoring compliance with the GDPR and other data protection regulations
  • Raising awareness and training employees
  • processing general inquiries and complaints on data protection from data subjects on their own behalf
  • advising and monitoring in connection with the data protection impact assessment
  • Cooperation with the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (HBDI)

Do you have a concern or questions relating to data protection in relation to the city administration?

You can address specific questions about the processing of personal data to the responsible organizational unit (office/department/own company) that is responsible for the respective task.

You can also contact the city administration's data protection officer with concerns, complaints and data subject rights.

If you believe that your rights have been violated in the processing of your personal data, you can also contact the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
