Disabled sports representative

Since 2007, the city council of the state capital of Wiesbaden has appointed an honorary disabled sports officer. Since then, the range of sports on offer for people with disabilities has increased significantly and has remained at a good level to this day.

Since the beginning of the year, we have had a "dual leadership" in Mirko Korder and Lothar Simon, who will jointly look after the interests of disabled sports in the state capital of Wiesbaden until December 31, 2024.

Mr. Korder's main area of responsibility and expertise lies in the area of people with physical disabilities; Mr. Simon is responsible for people with cognitive disabilities.

Both provide advice on issues relating to disabled sports, sports activities in Wiesbaden and club cooperation in disabled sports. They act as a coordination office for disabled sports in cooperation with clubs, associations, schools, workshops, the Office for Social Work, the Hessian Disabled and Rehabilitation Sports Association, the State Sports Association and the Municipal Sports Office.
