Retaining talented junior staff - launch of "Training Radar Wiesbaden"

Wiesbaden companies are also increasingly struggling with a shortage of skilled and junior staff. With the talent sharing platform "Ausbildungsradar Wiesbaden", the state capital would like to make a contribution to retaining qualified junior staff in the region as part of its activities to secure skilled and junior staff.

Companies can use the open-industry platform to recommend suitable applicants for a training position to other Wiesbaden companies that are unable to hire them for capacity reasons. The aim is to retain applicants in the local training market and to support regional companies in their search for trainees.

Mayor and Head of Economic Affairs Christiane Hinninger gave the go-ahead for the platform on Tuesday, April 1, together with the project partners, the Wiesbaden Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the Wiesbaden-Rheingau-Taunus District Crafts Association and the Wiesbaden-Rheingau-Taunus branch of the Association of Hessian Business Associations.

"I am delighted that the state capital of Wiesbaden can establish this innovative tool for recruiting trainees with these strong partners. Together, we are strengthening Wiesbaden as a business and training location and are counting on many companies to take advantage of this free opportunity," said Hinninger about the latest addition to the skilled labor initiative of the state capital of Wiesbaden.

"The training radar is a welcome addition to the application process for our training companies. The platform takes on the role of a letter of recommendation: the applicants who present themselves there prove to the companies that they have already impressed them with their personality and appearance. And the platform is a benefit for the applicants, as they go into future interviews with a bonus - a win-win for both sides," explained Christine Lutz, Managing Director of Education at IHK Wiesbaden.

"The idea of a talent-sharing platform for training applicants comes directly from business practice. Together with training managers and stafftastic GmbH, we have developed the first training radar for the chemical-pharmaceutical industry. I really welcome the fact that there is now a cross-industry training radar in Wiesbaden. In this way, we can work together to strengthen matching in dual training for the region," emphasized Jürgen Funk, branch manager of VhU Wiesbaden-Rheingau-Taunus and SCHULEWIRTSCHAFT.

"The cross-industry training radar is another building block with which we are joining forces to bring training closer to young people. Together, we, the state capital of Wiesbaden, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the Association of Hessian Business Associations and the Wiesbaden-Rheingau-Taunus District Craftsmen's Association, are showing young people how important training is," said Holger Balz, District Craftsman of the Wiesbaden-Rheingau-Taunus District Craftsmen's Association.

The Department of Economics and Employment of the state capital of Wiesbaden is organizing an online information event for interested Wiesbaden companies on Tuesday, 29 April at 11 am. Further information and the opportunity to register can be found at www.ausbildungsradar.de/wiesbaden, (opens in a new tab) by e-mail to ausbildungsradarwiesbadende or by telephone on (0611) 313131.
