Even before you start planning your project and submit an application to the building inspectorate, you can obtain a lot of information in advance. This will help you to implement your project as quickly as possible.
Tips for submitting an application
Inspecting files
For planning and consulting purposes, it is often decisive whether or to what extent permits for existing buildings are available. As the owner or if you have a legitimate interest, you can inspect the existing building permits in the file archive of the state capital of Wiesbaden.
In many places, development plans play a decisive role in determining whether properties can be built on. You can find out whether there is a development plan for your property and what it regulates on the website of the Wiesbaden City Planning Office. On the site, you will also find information on development plans in the process, change restrictions or bylaws of the City of Wiesbaden, for example.
Many building projects, particularly in connection with detached houses, garden designs or garages and parking spaces, have been exempted by law from the obligation to obtain planning permission (building projects not requiring planning permission in accordance with Section 63 of the Hessian Building Code (HBO)). The annex to Section 63 HBO provides an overview of these projects and also explains in Section V Exemption reservations whether any conditions must be observed.
We recommend a building consultation at our Building Service Center before submitting your application - our team will be happy to advise you on aspects of building regulations or building planning law. For example, you will find out
whether and which approval procedures or notifications are required for the realization of a project are required,
which formal conditions must be complied with when submitting an application,
which building documents must be enclosed with a building application,
which specialist bodies are involved in the approval process,
which ancillary building permits and approvals the client must obtain on their own responsibility outside of the building supervisory procedure.
It is therefore best to make an appointment with us directly. We can advise you by telephone, Skype, email or directly in person.
You can find out how to submit your application to us further down the page under "Submitting an application".
