Instruction on activity bans when handling food (formerly food certificate)

Anyone who processes food commercially or comes into contact with it or works in the kitchens of restaurants, canteens or other communal catering facilities requires a certificate in accordance with Section 43 of the Infection Protection Act (IfSG) stating that they have been informed of the applicable activity bans before carrying out these activities for the first time. This certificate is issued by the public health department after detailed information has been provided.

Online instruction

Instructions in accordance with Section 43 of the Infection Protection Act (IfSG) can be taken online using the following link (see Online Services). You will need a stable internet connection and a PC, notebook, tablet or similar and can choose from a variety of languages. To participate successfully, simply follow the instructions on the website.

Presence instruction

If you do not have the appropriate technology, you can complete the instruction on the premises of the state capital Wiesbaden (face-to-face instruction by the public health department). The instruction sessions take place at the Health Department, Konradinerallee 11 (Entrance A) and are possible by prior appointment by telephone on 0611 312810 or by e-mail.
