Integration assistance and participation

People with disabilities who have physical, mental, intellectual or sensory impairments which, in interaction with attitudinal and environmental barriers, are very likely to prevent them from participating in society on an equal footing for longer than six months are entitled to integration assistance.

As the local provider of integration assistance, the state capital of Wiesbaden is responsible for

  • Children and young people up to secondary level II with mental and physical disabilities or who are at risk of such disabilities can submit an application for integration assistance to the Office for Social Work.

In addition, the state capital of Wiesbaden, as the local youth welfare organization, is responsible for

  • Children and young people (up to the age of 18) and young adults (up to the age of 21 or 23) who have a mental disability in accordance with Section 35a SGB VIII or who are at risk of such a disability.

The Landeswohlfahrtsverband Hessen (LWV) (opens in a new tab) is responsible for adults with disabilities after the end of their school education until they reach the standard age limit.

Opening hours

The service telephone is manned from Monday to Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.

The integration assistance is open by telephone appointment.
