NEXTLIVE.FESTIVAL 2023

In November 2023, the NEXTLIVE.FESTIVAL for live communication and experience marketing celebrated its premiere! The aim: to establish a new industry get-together for corporate marketing and event budget decision-makers in Wiesbaden.

Motto: "How to create brand experiences with impact"

The RMCC as a stylish festival location

The NEXTLIVE.FESTIVAL has transformed the South Hall (opens in a new tab) of the RMCC into a cozy, hip feel-good and meeting space - matching the industrial style of the hall with its stainless steel-clad walls and bright terrazzo floor.

Comments on the festival

Portrait Christiane Seelgen

Christiane Seelgen, Prokuristin für Digitalisierung im RMCC"NEXTLIVE's idea of creating its own event with a focus on knowledge transfer convinced us right from the start. Business festivals like the NEXTLIVE.FESTIVAL are formats that bring topics to life, promote exchange and make products more tangible. Participants today are more selective in their choice of events and want to be inspired and emotionalized. The relevance of brand experiences has increased dramatically. We are therefore particularly proud to be working with a partner like NEXTLIVE, who lives and breathes live communication and experience marketing.

Hans Schriever

Hans Schriever, Gründer von NEXTLIVE"NEXTLIVE has set itself the goal of becoming a sustainable community platform for marketing and event budget decision-makers over the next few years. Our starting point is this year's festival. And in this context, we are particularly pleased that we were able to win RMCC Wiesbaden as a location partner for our annual event. Because here we are in one of the most sustainable buildings in the Federal Republic of Germany. We were also able to win 2bdifferent as a strategic sustainability partner for NEXTLIVE."

Master keynotes and expert breakouts

Expert breakout with conclusion: "Live events are the new social media" by VOK DAMS

In a lively expert breakout session, Niklas Stommel from the renowned event and live marketing agency VOK DAMS summarized once again why live events are needed more to interactively share content and messages with a community than one-sided social media:

People stand on the stage
Expert breakout session
  • Facebook was replaced by Instagram and TikTok - but: there is no more interaction here, "social" in "social media" is lost
    • from many-to-many to one-to-many (followers only consume, there is no interaction)
    • Focus on short video content, because users now only have an attention span of 0.4 seconds, mere entertainment, authenticity is lost

  • Live events are taking the place where "social media" once stood: interactive, social, communicative, authentic, emotional
    • The value of and demand for live events is increasing
    • One of the most important reasons: Meeting and socializing with other people, activating the campfire gene that is in all of us
  • Events as emotional lighthouse projects and therefore important components of marketing
  • Tip: Create digital background noise with live events as highlights
    • Live event as the linchpin of every marketing campaign that radiates to all channels
    • Live events as content providers

After all, that's ultimately what drives us all to organize events - regardless of the size and context: meeting people, making contacts, exchanging ideas, taking away input.

We are looking forward to the second NEXTLIVE.FESTIVAL in 2024 - again in Wiesbaden, of course again at the RMCC!
