How was the festival realized at the RMCC?
The NEXTLIVE.FESTIVAL has transformed the South Hall of the RMCC into a cozy, hip feel-good and meeting space - in keeping with the industrial style of the hall with its stainless steel-clad walls and light terrazzo floor.
One of the partition walls was used to make the south hall slightly smaller and thus more "homely": This very design concept was stringently pursued through various "living" lounges furnished with dark leather and velvet sofas, side tables, indirect lighting elements and carpets. The floor-to-ceiling windows at the front provided the festival space in the area of these expert breakout lounges with daylight, while the screen and stage inside the hall were darkened. Lushly planted steel elements that structured the space, large olive trees, atmospheric and indirect lighting, bar tables and chairs made of dark wood completed the modern, homely character of the festival space.
A large catering island formed the central point of the space - a steel structure decorated with hanging plants and atmospheric lighting, open on all sides.
The highlight: three inflatable "igloo tents", so-called domes, provided unique subspaces within the festival space for the masterclasses. These inflatable domes had an enormous aura and could be illuminated in any desired color using LEDs.
Why was the RMCC chosen as the location?
One of the central themes of the festival was "sustainability in the event industry". The organizer was therefore looking for a location that would address this topic. The RMCC was already planned sustainably during the construction process and has been awarded the DGNB certificate since or even before its opening. Sustainability is a tangible reality at the RMCC. In addition to the facts, such as sourcing electricity from renewable energy sources or the use of thermal insulation measures, the halls and conference rooms are supplied with plenty of daylight via floor-to-ceiling windows. This creates a pleasant lighting situation and makes conference guests feel very comfortable.
RMCC as location partner
As a location and cooperation partner, the Convention Wiesbaden team was represented with concentrated power. We are delighted to be hosting such a great industry format and to be able to experience the pulse of live communication and experience marketing at first hand.
