Cultural Award of the State Capital of Wiesbaden
Every year, the state capital of Wiesbaden awards a prize to promote cultural life. Numerous institutions, associations, initiatives and individuals have received this cultural prize since 1981.
Since 1981, the prize for the promotion of cultural life in the state capital of Wiesbaden has been awarded annually for special achievements in the fields of visual arts, music, literature, historical research and the performing arts. A jury, chaired by the Head of Cultural Affairs and consisting of one member from each of the parliamentary groups in the City Council and the Head of the Cultural Office, decides on the prize, which is endowed with 5000 euros.
The prize is awarded by the Lord Mayor or a representative of the City Council. The previous winners of the Culture Prize are
