Integration contribution to the land use plan

Update to the landscape plan of the state capital Wiesbaden

The land use plan of the state capital Wiesbaden is being redrawn. Data on Wiesbaden's ecological situation serves as a technical basis and helps to evaluate and weigh up the planning options. This data is summarized in a so-called integration contribution. This has not yet been published.

The first city-wide landscape plan for the state capital of Wiesbaden was approved by the regional president of southern Hesse with conditions back in 2002. In order to better integrate this plan into the land use plan, the representations were adapted to the requirements of the Building Code.

Due to the requirements of the regional president, more precise data for species and biotope protection in the outdoor area was collected from 2004 onwards. Further specialist concepts and thematic maps were drawn up to supplement and update the landscape plan. These included The fauna and flora in the outdoor area, biotope type mapping and biotope networking, updating the climate analysis and updating the leisure and recreation report. This data was summarized in a planning map (partial update of the approved landscape plan), which does not follow the requirements of the Building Code.

Between 2019 and 2024, a landscape planning integration contribution was created in addition to the land use plan. This contribution assigned the planning map to the categories of the Building Code and used the latest biotope type mapping data. This meant that very up-to-date information could be used for the land use plan. Thanks to the precise and detailed survey of the biotope types, it was also possible to work out the integration contribution very accurately. The result is a very good basis for integration into the land use plan and as a basis for consideration. Not all details can be incorporated into the land use plan. But the more precise the basis is, the better the land use plan can be drawn up and the representations can be justified.

In addition to the planning map, the most important bases for this contribution are the biotope type mapping, the current climate map and the leisure and recreation report.
