Welsh Blacknose Sheep

The Valais blacknose sheep is a robust and particularly striking breed of sheep from the Swiss Alps. Its fluffy, white coat and characteristic black facial markings make it unmistakable. These frugal animals are perfectly adapted to the harsh mountain climate and are traditionally kept for wool and meat. Today they are considered a rare domestic breed and are specifically promoted in conservation breeding programs.
