Welcome to the Fasanerie Wiesbaden animal and plant park - your nature experience for the whole family. Discover over 130 animals from around 40 native species, including brown bears, wolves and lynxes, on 23 hectares of varied landscape.
Please take the bus - arrive relaxed with public transport!
Our recommendation: Take bus route 33
Dear visitors,
The pheasantry is a popular excursion destination for nature and animal lovers - and the best thing is: admission is free! The parking spaces are also free of charge. However, this means that our parking areas are quickly overcrowded on nice days and there are bottlenecks on the access roads.
To ensure that your visit is relaxed right from the start, we recommend traveling by public transport. ESWE Verkehr bus route 33 will take you directly to the Fasanerie - without stress and without having to search for a parking space.
Together we can help to ease the parking situation and protect the nature around the pheasantry. Thank you for your understanding and your support!
We look forward to your visit!

Parking rules
To ensure that your stay at the Fasanerie Wiesbaden remains pleasant for people and animals, we ask you to observe the following rules:
Park bicycles outside The park is an oasis of peace. Please leave bicycles, scooters and similar vehicles outside the grounds.
Respect animals Please take care of the animals and do not disturb or chase them. They should feel safe in their environment.
Feeding only permitted to a limited extent For the welfare of the animals, only sheep, goats and deer may be fed with the food available in the park. Please do not bring your own food.
Dispose of garbage Help to keep nature clean and dispose of waste in the bins provided.
Smoke-free area Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the site in order to protect the environment and the animals.
Dogs and pets must stay outside To protect our wild and domestic animals, dogs and other pets may not be brought into the pheasantry. Exception: marked guide dogs.
Why is there a ban on dogs and pets at the Wiesbaden Pheasantry?
Dogs have been banned at the Wiesbaden Pheasantry since it was founded in 1956.In the meantime, some animal parks and zoos in the region have lifted the dog ban. But even there, dogs are not "problem-free". In addition to political decisions, it is also partly an economic consideration: How much additional entrance fee is offset by what hassle and additional costs for staff and vets, for example?
Some of our animal enclosures are accessible, some animals are also free-range in the park. Diseases such as distemper could be transmitted or the animals could be chased and bitten by dogs. For dogs, too, a "walk" in an animal park is generally associated with more stress and excitement than in the fields and woods.
For reasons of hygiene, dogs are banned from all municipal children's playgrounds. Our play areas for children are spread throughout the park and are deliberately not fenced off.
In Wiesbaden's green spaces, despite the obligation to keep dogs on leads and use dog waste bags, there are regular problems with excrement as well as aggressive and loose dogs and their owners, which sometimes result in personal injury due to bites. This would also happen here if dogs were not banned.
We therefore ask for your understanding for our continued ban on dogs. Other animals that you bring with you are also not allowed in the park and must stay at home.
