The fallow deer can be easily recognized by its spotted summer coat and the large, shovel-shaped antlers of the males. Originally from the Mediterranean region, it is now at home in many parks and forests in Europe. Fallow deer are elegant runners and live in groups. In the fall, the males fight over the females with their antlers - an impressive natural spectacle!
