Procedural guide for young people with a (potential) disability

The Children and Youth Strengthening Act (KJSG) came into force in June 2021. The focus on participation and inclusion is new. In the future, responsibility for all children and young people (i.e. with or without disabilities and regardless of the type of disability) for all (individual) assistance is to be brought together in the youth welfare office. The amendment of the law is planned by the legislator from 01.01.2028 after a federal law comes into force.

In order to prepare well for this amendment to the law, there will be a new function of "procedure pilot" from January 1, 2024 in accordance with Section 10b SGB VIII. The procedure pilot advises and supports young people with disabilities, their mothers, fathers, custodians and legal guardians in the realization of claims to integration assistance benefits and works towards the assertion of rights. It is also involved in the (further) development of good inclusive structures.

The procedure pilot responsible for Wiesbaden is happy to receive specific requests at verfahrenslotsewiesbadende can be reached by telephone on 0611 318876.
