Assembly authority
The Assembly Authority is responsible for registering assemblies in accordance with the Hessian Freedom of Assembly Act. The registration for an assembly or a procession must be made at least 48 hours before the announcement of the assembly or procession.
Pest control
The Public Order Office is responsible for reporting pests such as rats in accordance with the Pest Control Ordinance.
Tasks under the Mental Health Care Act (PsychKHG)
Specially trained employees work in the Public Order Office to implement the Mental Health Assistance Act (PsychKHG). Among other things, they are responsible for taking a mentally ill person for assessment if they are an acute danger to themselves or others, to psychiatric hospitals or to support the social psychiatric service and the guardianship authority.
Dangerous dogs
The public order office is responsible for issuing permits to keep listed dogs and dangerous dogs. You can report biting incidents to the Public Order Office by telephone or e-mail.
City pigeon project
With its city pigeon project, the state capital of Wiesbaden has been taking a consistent approach for several years to solving the obvious problem of regulating the population of city pigeons. The public order office plays a central and coordinating role in this and is in constant contact with other local voluntary animal welfare stakeholders.
Prostitution (ProstSchG)
The Public Order Office is responsible for providing legal advice to prostitutes and issues registration and alias certificates. They also carry out legal consultations with the operator to register a prostitution business. They also issue permits for prostitution establishments, prostitution events and prostitution vehicles.
The public order office inspects prostitutes working in Wiesbaden and monitors compliance with the restricted area ordinance.
Drones
The Public Order Office is responsible for reporting and approving the take-off and landing of drones on areas belonging to the state capital of Wiesbaden.
Consumer Cannabis Act (KCanG)
The Public Order Office is responsible for monitoring the legal regulations and requirements.
