The office of the Prevention Council provides organizational support to the Prevention Council of the State Capital of Wiesbaden and its working groups in its areas of responsibility.

In addition, the office is the first point of contact for the institutions represented in the working groups and the state police.

Furthermore, the office maintains contact with the Hessian state project "Network against Violence", of which Wiesbaden has been a member since 2003, and became a member of the city network for crime prevention on July 1, 2010.

The coordination and planning of the "Violence-Seeing-Helping" seminars as well as the supervision of the speakers trained by the Hessian state government are also part of the office's tasks.
