Tanz-Club Blau-Orange e.V. Wiesbaden (TC Blau-Orange)

The Tanz-Club Blau-Orange e.V. Wiesbaden was founded on 24.10.1934 and was named after the city colors of Wiesbaden. The members of the new club trained at the Bier dance school. As early as 1935, Tanz-Club Blau-Orange organized the first international amateur dance tournament and has hosted important national and international tournaments ever since. In 1960, it separated from the Bier dance school. The Josefs-Haus in Biebrich became the new training location. In 1967, Tanz-Club Blau-Orange and Tanz-Club Schwarz-Gold Wiesbaden merged.

The international dance tournament in Latin American dances for the Grand Prix of Wiesbaden, first held in the Kurhaus in 1974, has been held every year since then. In 1976, Tanz-Club Blau-Orange moved into its own training rooms in Bierstadt. Since March 2010, it has had its own clubhouse in Biebrich, which has been developed into a dance sports center.

The Tanz-Club Blau-Orange formation has been dancing in the second national league since 2012. Athletes from the club have already won numerous national and international amateur and competitive championships. Timo Kulczak, the long-standing coach for Latin American dances, was appointed national coach in 2024.

Wheelchair dancing is also a competitive sport. The club is currently the only club in Hesse that organizes a tournament with international participation for competitive and amateur athletes. Tanz-Club Blau-Orange is also involved in disabled and rehabilitation sports.
