Società Dante Alighieri Wiesbaden
The Società Dante Alighieri Wiesbaden was founded on September 16, 1951 by Elsa Margherita Freifrau von Zschinsky with the aim of promoting the art and culture of Italy and cultivating the Italian language as a contribution to international understanding.
To this end, the association regularly organizes lectures on Italy's art treasures and various travel destinations and presents the works of famous Italian painters, sculptors and architects as well as their influence on buildings in Europe. Readings by Italian writers, study trips to Italy and visits to exhibitions are also part of the activities offered by the Società Dante Alighieri Wiesbaden, which has over 300 members.
