Bellevue Hall Scholarship
As part of the Bellevue Hall Scholarship, artists are given the opportunity to work in the Kunsthaus studios for several months each year.
The Kunstverein Bellevue-Saal. Verein zur Förderung künstlerischer Projekte mit gesellschaftlicher Relevanz e. V. awards two scholarships each year on behalf of the City of Wiesbaden, primarily to young artists from abroad. The scholarships, which are linked to compulsory attendance (artist in residence), each include four months of free living and working in the municipal studio in the Kunsthaus on the Schulberg. At the end of their stay, the scholarship holders show the works they have created in Wiesbaden in a solo exhibition in the Bellevue Hall.
A handsome monthly allowance, financial support for the exhibition project and a six-page leaflet catalog (DIN A4) make the Bellevue-Saal scholarship attractive to many artists.
Previous scholarship holders include Francisco Klinger Carvalho (Brazil), Julia M. Kunin (USA), Aurelia Mihai (Romania), Yoshiyuki Miura (Japan), Tomasz Opania (Poland), Mbongeni R. Buthelezi (South Africa), Min Jeong Seo (South Korea).
