Cyberstyler 2025: Creative youth exchange combines art, media and Europe
The multinational youth exchange "Cyberstyler 2025 - create & connect" came to a successful conclusion with an impressive closing event at the Arco Forum in Wellritzstraße on Sunday, March 9. The project brought together 30 young people from Poland, Spain, Bulgaria, Serbia and Germany.
Under the direction of Arco e.V., the participants developed innovative forms of expression in creative workshops on digital music (Kai Baumann), photography and light painting (Mihaela Moscovciuc), performance (Peter Aurin) and video (Kevin Rensch and Sam Kidane). The project not only strengthened their media competence and artistic skills, but also promoted intercultural exchange and the development of an international network.
The closing event began with a welcome address by Matthias Schier, project manager of Arco e.V., and a word of welcome from Dr. Patricia Becher, Head of Social Affairs. She emphasized the importance of international youth encounters for intercultural exchange and joint learning. "Cultural education and creative media projects such as Cyberstyler not only offer young people space for artistic development, but also strengthen their social participation and media skills. Especially in a digitalized world, it is crucial that young people learn to use creative tools in a targeted manner and take responsibility for their forms of expression. The special thing about Cyberstyler is the European idea - this is where diversity and cooperation come to life. Young people from different countries meet, share their perspectives and develop new ideas together. These experiences are formative and help to shape a strong, united Europe."
The highlight of the event was the presentation of the impressive workshop results by the young people. With a great deal of creativity and commitment, they presented their works, which combined digital music pieces, fascinating light painting photographs, expressive performances and creative video productions. The presentations not only highlighted the high artistic level, but also the intensive collaboration and intercultural exchange within the project.
Cyberstyler is an established project by Arco e.V., which is funded by Erasmus+ and the state capital of Wiesbaden. The event once again underlined Wiesbaden's role as a model municipality for international youth work and as a committed partner in the "Wiesbaden Worldwide" network. Through the long-standing cooperation with the city, young people with special needs are given access to international youth culture and intercultural learning, while at the same time a creative space for artistic development, new perspectives and sustainable connections is created.
