The Ländchesbahn will run with so-called double traction on Sunday between 9 am and 8 pm. This means that there will be considerably more space for passengers on all regular journeys. All carnival revellers, especially those from the east of Wiesbaden, can travel comfortably by train to the main station and from there on to the city center.

The special timetables for the individual lines for Carnival Sunday are available at www.eswe-verkehr.de/fahrplaene.

On Rose Monday, ESWE buses will operate according to the vacation timetable on Friday. Visitors to the Mainz Rose Monday parade are best advised to use the S-Bahn connections between Wiesbaden and Mainz. In addition, lines 6 and 9 will be temporarily reinforced as follows: - Line 6 will be reinforced to a 7.5-minute interval between 9.30 am and 6 pm. Line 9 will only run from or to Mainz Landtag from 8.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. - Line 28 will only run to Mainz Straßenbahnamt from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. The detailed special timetables for lines 6 and 9 for Carnival Monday can be found on the Internet at www.mainzer-mobilitaet.de. In general, however, the S-Bahn connections between Wiesbaden and Mainz are recommended on Rose Monday.

Rose Monday in Frauenstein: Line 24 On the occasion of the Rose Monday parade in Frauenstein, buses will only run from/to Frauenstein Leierweg from around 11.30 am to 6 pm. ESWE Verkehr is also running a shuttle bus between Dernschem Gelände and Leierweg. The mobility center in Marktstraße and the mobility information points at the main railway station and Luisenplatz will be open at regular times on all Carnival days.

All carnival revellers are advised to travel by public transport: ESWE Verkehr and Mainzer Mobilität (MM) offer the practical event ticket on all foolish days. The event ticket costs 5.20 euros for adults (children aged six to 14 pay 3 euros) and entitles the holder to a return journey within price level 13: it is therefore valid in the entire tariff area 6500 of the Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund (RMV). In addition to Wiesbaden, Mainz and the surrounding area, this also includes some neighboring areas of fare zone 6600, for example Hochheim - and all this until 5:00 a.m. on the following morning. Important information for passengers: Do not forget to stamp the ticket in the validation machine on the outward and return journey; only then is it valid.

The Narrenkarte is only valid on MM and ESWE lines and costs 11 euros per person: From Weiberfastnacht, February 27, to Fastnachtdienstag, March 4, the Narrenkarte can be used on all buses and streetcars in Mainz and Wiesbaden. The "Narrenkarte" is available at all advance booking offices, ticket machines and from bus drivers.

An overview of all tickets and fares can be found at www.eswe-verkehr.de. The locations of all ticket agencies and ticket machines are listed in the interactive route network map at www.netzplan-wiesbaden.de. More information is available at the ESWE Verkehr mobility center at Marktstraße 10 and at the mobility information points at the main station and Luisenplatz.
