Hygiene measures and ventilation system

100% fresh air with air distribution from above, floor markings, walkway separations: we implement your event in compliance with Corona! The current regulations for event operations apply.

Ventilation in the premises

Explanation/ basic principle of the ventilation systems in the RMCC:

The outside air drawn in is treated in the following components in the ventilation center of the air conditioning system:

  • Air filter
  • Air heater
  • Air cooler
  • Air filter
  • Supply and extract air are separated

The treated supply air flows via the supply air fan through air ducts as room air into the halls/rooms. The extract air fan extracts the room air from the halls/rooms and, depending on the operating setting, conveys it outside as exhaust air via the heat exchanger (WT). The supply air therefore has a 100% fresh air content. The basic principle is air distribution from above.

The ventilation systems have the following capacity:

  • North hall: 184,000 m³/h, air exchange rate 2.7x
  • South hall: 106,000 m³/h, air exchange rate 5.9x
  • Terrace halls: 42,000 m³/h, air exchange rate 5.5x
  • Main foyer: 15,000 m³/h, air exchange rate 1.2x

Entrance and exit

  • The foyers of the RMCC offer spacious admission areas for distance-compliant registration of your participants.
  • We provide registration counters with sufficient social distancing and a Plexiglas device. Participant-related contact details can be recorded at the registration counters.
  • There is also the option of having recognized rapid coronavirus tests carried out for participants on site at the RMCC premises by medically trained staff. On request, the RMCC team can arrange a local service provider.

Movement of participants within the building

  • The distancing rules can be observed at an exhibition/trade fair, for example, thanks to our spacious hall aisles with a width of up to 5.7 m for two-way visitor traffic or with 3.6 m wide hall aisles in one-way traffic.
  • Medical masks must be worn at all times within the venue. In general, it must also be avoided that the minimum distances are not observed.
  • Floor markings and room and walkway separations for controlled visitor guidance using tensors or similar are carried out by us in coordination.
  • Our digital wayfinding system with monitors and signage guides visitors safely and purposefully to the event space.
  • The catering and lounge areas used in each case offer sufficient space to comply with social distancing regulations.
  • The halls have very efficient ventilation systems. They are operated with an increased volume of outside air. This enables a constant exchange of air in the exhibition halls.

Hygiene precautions

  • Disinfectant is available in the event areas and in the sanitary facilities.
  • We clean our rooms, areas and sanitary facilities as well as equipment and furniture more frequently.
  • Information boards and signs throughout the building draw attention to the hygiene guidelines and behavioral recommendations and protective measures are visibly communicated.
  • Sanitary facilities are equipped in such a way that the necessary minimum distance can be maintained.

Catering

  • The sales/dispensing kiosks are located in the 1,350 m² foyer, among other areas. Breaks can take place here with the necessary distancing rules.

Spatial concepts/ Digital formats

  • New seating plans guarantee compliance with the requirements, maintaining the minimum distance between participants at all times and reducing the density of people to minimize the risk of contact.
  • The large number of interconnected and flexible rooms makes it possible to expand the room (using a partition wall system) to the required size.
Safety announcements can be made at any time (e.g. during breaks; to regulate exits; in critical situations).
  • A wide range of online events (opens in a new tab) can be implemented (e.g. simple online conferences, complex streaming shows, interactive LIVE TV broadcasts).
  • We offer the option of combining on-site conference technology (opens in a new tab), e.g. microphone units, interpreting booths or digital presentation technology, with a virtual online conference.

Recommendations for designing an exhibition stand

  • Design your stand so that the minimum distance of 1.5 m between two people can be maintained. This means, for example, that a one-way system must be introduced, which is indicated by arrows.
  • Stand plans should be more generous and with a lower degree of development.
  • Contact surfaces (e.g. counters, door handles, table surfaces) should have smooth and easy-to-clean surfaces. These must be cleaned and disinfected regularly within a reasonable period of time.
If possible, avoid closed rooms within the exhibition stand.
  • Exhibits should be arranged in such a way that they do not lead to a build-up of visitors. Please dimension your visitor areas accordingly and mark the distance markings.
  • If devices with a touch surface are used, these must be cleaned by trained stand personnel after each use.
Please appoint a person responsible for your stand who will check compliance with the hygiene regulations.
  • Document the stand construction and stand personnel deployed on a daily basis with name, address and telephone number for better tracking of a possible chain of infection.
  • Draw up a hygiene concept for your stand and keep it available at your stand.
  • Suitable measures must be taken for stand catering to avoid droplet or smear infection. Our caterer will be happy to assist you here.
  • The Technical Guidelines of the RheinMain CongressCenter apply unchanged.
