Inclusive youth welfare and youth welfare planning

On the way to inclusion... Supporting the process pilot and youth welfare planning!

Different people form a group.

In 2021, the Child and Youth Strengthening Act (KJSG) changed the Child and Youth Welfare Act (SGB VIII) in several respects. Among other things, the requirement for "inclusive youth welfare" was explicitly formulated in various places.

For example, on January 1, 2024, the function of the procedure pilot was created, who advises, accompanies and supports young people with disabilities and their families in obtaining their rights to integration assistance benefits.

At the same time, the procedure pilot supports the structural development within public youth welfare towards an inclusive system.

In Wiesbaden, the specialist departments, youth welfare planning and the procedure pilot work hand in hand. The reporting and planning in the individual fields of action (e.g. KT, afternoon care, see there) takes "inclusion issues" into account as far as possible and also asks what role, for example, integration assistance plays in the regular services.
