Tauern pinto goat

The Tauernscheckenziege is a rare and hardy mountain goat from Austria. With its black and white spotted coat, it is not only pretty to look at, but also perfectly adapted to the harsh climate of the Alps. They are particularly sure-footed and frugal, which makes them a valuable livestock breed. As their numbers have declined sharply, they are now specifically promoted in conservation breeding programs.
