Northern lynx (lynx lynx)

The northern lynx is a silent hunter with tufted ears and spotted fur. In the pheasantry, you can experience this impressive feline predator up close and learn more about its habitat.

Lynx

The Eurasian lynx, also known as the northern lynx, is the largest feline predator in Europe. With its dense, spotted fur, tufted ears and short tail, it is perfectly adapted to life in forests. As a shy loner, it mainly hunts deer and smaller mammals, sneaking up silently and striking at lightning speed. Thanks to conservation measures, the lynx is slowly returning to its original habitats.

Three northern lynxes live in the pheasantry.
Their names are Mickey, Lady Marian and Peggy.
