The pheasant is a colorful chicken bird that originally comes from Asia and is now native to many parts of Europe. While the males stand out with their iridescent plumage, the females are inconspicuously brown in color - perfect for camouflage. Pheasants usually live in fields, meadows and forests, where they feed on seeds, insects and berries. They are excellent runners, but can also fly short distances in case of danger.
Two pheasants live in the pheasantry.
Their names are Diana and Hubertus.
