The ferret is the domesticated form of the polecat and a curious, playful hunter. With its slender body and agile nature, it likes to explore its surroundings. Originally bred to hunt rabbits, the ferret is now primarily known as a pet. As it is crepuscular, it spends most of the day sleeping and then goes exploring with plenty of energy.
