German giant rabbit (oryctolagus cuniculus)

Rabbit

Giant rabbits are the gentle giants among rabbits! They can weigh up to 10 kilograms and have long, soft ears. Despite their size, they are very peaceful and curious. Originally they were bred as farm animals, but today they are particularly popular as friendly ambassadors for old domestic breeds.

Eight giant rabbits live in the pheasantry.
Their names are Hagrid, Tonks, McGonaagall, Mad-Eye Rudi, Prof. Sprout,Mr. Longbottom, Molly and Ginny.
