Luxembourg Square

Luxemburgplatz, which was laid out in 1900, is named after the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Its regent between 1890 and 1905 was the former sovereign Duke Adolf von Nassau. Luxemburgplatz is surrounded by magnificent buildings that are considered cultural monuments due to their artistic and architectural design and for urban planning reasons. Their façades feature stylistic elements of neo- and late Baroque and Art Nouveau.
