The purpose of women's cooperatives
- Improving people's lives is the purpose of cooperatives - not maximizing profits.
- Women's cooperatives harness the power of community and women's empowerment to deliver a WIN-WIN-WIN solution: For women, for citizens and for society.
- They create new attractive jobs with employment subject to social insurance contributions and
fair salaries for women. This increases their financial independence and reduces unemployment and poverty. - Women are both employees and co-owners of the company. They follow the attractive career path of joint business start-ups and joint self-employment.
- Women's cooperatives are a social innovation and they are start-ups and SMEs as well as companies oriented towards the common good and social enterprises (Social Entrepreneurship, Social Impact,
- social business, cooperative/cooperative).
- Women's cooperatives contribute to the sustainability goals of the United Nations.
- Foundation of women's cooperatives
