InnoStartWi start-up grant

The InnoStartWi start-up grant supports founders in the implementation of their business idea with up to 1,000 euros per month for twelve months.

InnoStartWi start-up grant

The scholarship is a non-repayable, personal living allowance. The funding is aimed at founders from Wiesbaden who either live here, study here or have registered their business here or are clearly planning to do so. Innovative start-ups, ideas or services of any kind and from any sector are welcome.

The current application period runs from 03.03 to 22.04.2025 at 12 noon.

Eligibility requirements

  • Novel, innovative and/or technology-driven business ideas, products, processes and services
  • Concrete business idea must be available
  • Business model aims for long-term success with headquarters in Wiesbaden
  • The start-up must not be older than three years after business registration

  • Business plan (incl. financing and milestone planning)
  • De-minimis declaration

Following a pre-selection process, applicants who are generally suitable will be invited to present their idea or start-up to the jury in Wiesbaden.

Evaluation criteria

  • Personality of the founders or founding teams
  • Innovativeness of the business idea
  • Feasibility and profitability
  • Customer benefit and demand
  • Market addressed, sector, competitive situation
  • Number of employees - if available or planned
  • Sustainability of the start-up for Wiesbaden - start-up will remain in Wiesbaden in the long term
  • Timetable / business plan: Business operations must commence - if they have not already done so - within the funding period of twelve months. It must also be ensured that this takes place within a period that is appropriate and comprehensible for the business idea.
