Wiesbaden's city forest creates a characteristic atmosphere for the city and serves in particular for recreation close to the city. Private individuals can buy top and decorative branches of spruce, Douglas fir, larch, pine, yew or silver fir as well as Christmas trees from the municipal forest from the forester. Oak and larch wood is used to make tables and benches, for example for private gardens. All domestic tree species are sold to the woodworking industry as veneer, sawn timber and industrial timber.
