The city pays the necessary transportation costs for students registered in Wiesbaden at general education schools up to the end of middle school (secondary level 1), the basic level of vocational school and the first year of special courses at vocational school or vocational college (completion of compulsory full-time schooling).
Procedure
Regular school pupils
The application for reimbursement of school transport costs can only be submitted online. It must be applied for by December 31 of the year in which the school year ends at the latest. You will find the link to the application at the bottom of this page.
Applications for the assumption of costs for an intensive German or integration course can be obtained from the school office.
Proof of purchase for subsequent years must be submitted via the school transport e-mail inbox schuelerbefoerderungwiesbadende without submitting a new application.
Under certain circumstances, the Wiesbaden Jobcenter, Education and Participation Department, can cover the costs of school transport. This mainly applies to pupils attending upper secondary level (Sekundarstufe II). You can obtain the relevant application form via the link "Forms KJC".
Work placement
Under certain conditions, the costs for student transportation to the internship are covered. The schools inform the pupils about the conditions before the internship. If you have any questions, please contact your school directly.
Pupils with disabilities - attending special schools or mainstream schools (inclusion)
Pupils in Wiesbaden who are unable to get to school on their own due to a permanent physical or mental disability have the option of using a transport service. This service takes them to school and back home again after lessons - if this is necessary.
The necessity is determined by the state education authority of the Rheingau-Taunus district and the state capital Wiesbaden or the health authority of the state capital Wiesbaden. If necessary, please contact the school management of the receiving school - they will arrange everything. You do not have to submit an application yourself. This procedure applies to both special schools and mainstream schools where your child is admitted as an inclusion child.
