The WIR coordinator oversees and manages the implementation of the state programme WIR (Wegweisende Integrationsansätze Realisieren) in Wiesbaden. Its task is to promote intercultural openness and measures to foster a culture of welcome and recognition and to support migrant organizations. To this end, it advises public, independent and church organizations as well as non-profit migrant organizations on funding for projects and supports them in applying for funding in accordance with the funding guidelines of the state of Hesse. The Hessian Ministry of Labour, Integration, Youth and Social Affairs supports the Hessian coordinators through regular and cooperative information and work meetings.
