Payment advice and reminders

Reminders are issued for receivables for which the payment deadline has been exceeded and for which no payment has been received. The reminder fees and any late payment surcharges charged depend on the amount of the dunned receivables.

The reminder fees and any late payment surcharges charged depend on the amount of the dunned debt.

If there is an overlap between the payment and the reminder, please contact the Municipal Payment Advisory Service on the service number (0611) 315063 for further information.

If you have received a reminder despite having issued a SEPA core direct debit mandate, it is possible that the bank holding the account was unable to honor the mandate. If the direct debit cannot be made, the Cash and Tax Office will not make any further attempts to debit the account.

The account-holding banks will inform the debtors of a debit attempt that cannot be carried out.

If no payment is received in response to the reminder, the claim is enforced. For this purpose, the claim of the debtor resident in Wiesbaden is passed on to the Internal Collection Department of the Tax and Revenue Office for further processing.
