Sängerkreis Wiesbaden e.V.
Sängerkreis Wiesbaden e. V. was founded in 1947 and is currently a voluntary association of 35 clubs with 62 choirs. It is one of the 42 Hessian singing circles that are united under the umbrella of the German Choral Association (DCV) in the Hessian Singers' Association. The basis for the continued existence of the choral scene is children's and youth work, which the Wiesbaden Sängerkreis has been strongly promoting for 30 years.
The Wiesbaden Sängerkreis represents the interests of the choirs in the Hessian Singers' Association and in the cultural associations of the city of Wiesbaden. Training courses and deputy choir director courses are held regularly. The circle also offers association seminars via the Sängerbund, e.g. on topics such as association law or GEMA fees. In 1987, the Wiesbaden Sängerkreis was awarded the cultural prize of the state capital of Wiesbaden.
