Kerb

Wiesbaden's Kerben include folkloristic dance and music performances as well as the traditional placing of the Kerbe tree. Numerous associations are involved in preparing the annual Kerb.

The oldest of these is the Gibber Kerbe Society, which dates back to 1909 and has been organizing the Gibber Kerb, the largest Kerb in Wiesbaden, for over 100 years. The Kerbegesellschaft Kohlheck and the Kerbe- und Carnevalsgesellschaft Freudenberg were founded in the 1950s.

Newly founded or re-established clubs in the recent past include the Kerbegesellschaft Auringer Schnooge 2002 and the Kerbe Dotzis 2004.
