Since 2007, the Wiesbaden Region Founder Award has been presented annually to particularly convincing founders and their young companies from Wiesbaden and the Rheingau-Taunus district. The partners in awarding this prize are the state capital of Wiesbaden, the Rheingau-Taunus district, the Wiesbaden Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the Wiesbaden Chamber of Crafts and EXINA e.V. (Business Start-up and Innovation Promotion Agency).

The prize is awarded for start-ups in the following categories: Services, Crafts and Technology, Liberal Professions. In addition to the high level of publicity given to the winners, the award is also associated with prize money donated by companies in the Wiesbaden region
