As a road and traffic engineering specialist, you will get to know the planning and implementation processes. You will start by carrying out surveying work, followed by working on the planning, design and construction of road and engineering structures as well as the final preparation and monitoring of construction measures.

You will get to know all project phases from the initial idea or planning order through to implementation and will therefore be actively involved in projects.

You will do your job both from your desk and on site at the construction site.

• You draw up plans for roads and bridges.
• You will be actively involved in the construction of roads, footpaths and squares for motor vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians.
• You will design crossing areas and determine material quantities and costs.
• You will work closely with engineers.

• Start of training: September 1
• Duration of training: 3 years
• Practical training: Civil engineering and surveying office
• Theoretical training: Vocational school in Bebra (opens in a new tab) (block teaching) and at the inter-company training center in Rotenburg

Must-haves

• At least a good secondary school leaving certificate
• at least satisfactory grades in mathematics, German and physics
• Successful participation in a selection procedure
