As a plant mechanic for sanitary, heating and air conditioning technology, you will be responsible for ensuring that all technical systems, including heating, ventilation, sanitary engineering, electrical engineering and locksmith work, function reliably and meet current safety and quality standards.

You will work on municipal buildings such as schools, daycare centers, administrative buildings, community centers, sports facilities and cultural and leisure facilities.

• You will support new construction, renovation and building maintenance measures.
• You will install, repair and maintain sanitary facilities.
• You will install, maintain and repair heating systems, ventilation systems and air conditioning systems.
• You will carry out measurement, control and regulation work on the systems.
• You will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing and energy-efficient refurbishment of municipal buildings.

• Start of training: September 1
• Duration of training: 3.5 years
• Practical training: Workshop of the building construction office
• Theoretical training: Friedrich-Ebert-Schule (opens in a new tab) Wiesbaden
• Examinations: The final examination consists of 2 parts; part 1 of the final examination takes place before the end of the 2nd year of training and part 2 before the end of the vocational training.
