Grants for nature and environmental protection projects

The state capital of Wiesbaden is once again offering financial support for nature and environmental protection projects this year. Interested parties can apply for grants from the casino's so-called Tronc funds until the end of April.

Applications can be sent informally to the Wiesbaden Environmental Agency, Gustav-Stresemann-Ring 15, 65189 Wiesbaden, telephone (0611) 314311. Applications can be submitted by individuals as well as groups, associations and initiatives that implement a project in the field of environmental protection and nature conservation or environmental education on a voluntary basis.

Last year, 18 projects were funded with a total of around 50,000 euros. The funds were used, for example, to support Freie Turnerschaft Wiesbaden 1896 e.V. in the nature-oriented design of its club grounds. School support associations can also receive funding, for example for the design of a "green classroom", the implementation of an orchard project or the construction of a dry stone wall.
