Engagement round table on integration and inclusion in voluntary work
Voluntary work in the integration of citizens with a migration background and the inclusion of people with physical and/or mental disabilities is the focus of the next round table on commitment. It will take place on Tuesday, April 29, from 5 to 7.30 p.m. at Tattersall, Lehrstraße 13. If you are interested, please contact mitwirken@wiesbaden.de. Further information can be found at www.wiesbaden.de/rundertisch.
"Integration and inclusion were two key topics for 2025 that the participants mentioned at the end of last year when planning the topics. We are now happy to comply with this wish," says Waltraud Klopf, who organizes and moderates the Engagement Round Table for the mitWIrken staff unit.
Andrea Hausy, the Municipal Inclusion Officer, and Luciano Becht, WIR Coordinator in the Integration Department, will introduce the respective topics. During the subsequent "Walk & Talk", participants will have the opportunity to obtain and exchange information on specific individual topics in detail and to consider the numerous opportunities for cooperation with voluntary associations and organizations. Freiwilligen-Zentrum Wiesbaden e.V. will be presenting its new project 'Kickstart - Supporting people with a migration background into voluntary work'.
The next Engagement Round Table on June 5 from 4 to 6.30 p.m. in the Haus der Vereine will be dedicated to the topic of music. Voluntary choirs and instrumental groups from Wiesbaden are being addressed here. To create a comprehensive overview of the active groups, clubs can submit their contact details at mitwirkenwiesbadende.
With this platform, the mitWIrken staff unit offers non-profit associations, organizations, initiatives and committed citizens the opportunity to introduce themselves and network with other stakeholders every two months. New ideas, up-to-date information and various areas of commitment are presented or passed on there. Representatives of organizations, associations, initiatives and offices are invited to help shape the agenda with their contributions, to get involved and to participate in joint projects to promote engagement in our city.
