District twinnings
Wiesbaden, the state capital, maintains relationships to numerous twin towns domestic and abroad. Besides them three Wiesbaden districts also remain in good standing to other towns and townships.
These district twinnings are existing between the Wiesbaden district Mainz-Kostheim and the township St. Veit an der Glan (Austria), the Wiesbaden district Bierstadt and the two towns Terrasson (France) and Theux (Belgium). And there is another district twinning between the Wiesbaden district Biebrich and Glarus (Switzerland).
The twinnings all have in common, that there are a lot of mutual visits, citizen trips and encounters taking place regulary. Due to the fact that they are organized by different people and societies, this animates all these relationships.
