Twin towns
Wiesbaden, the state capital of Hesse, has for many years maintained twinnings with 18 cities in Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America. All of these twin towns are special and unique, as are the relationships between them and Wiesbaden and the reasons behind embarking on these twinnings.
Twinnings offer an opportunity to learn more about the people in the twin town, their culture and customs, and their everyday lives, and make it easier for citizens to establish contacts that may turn into life-long friendships. Twinnings also provide a way for associations and institutions to work together on projects of common interest.
Wiesbaden is proud that its twinning associations, its many sports, cultural, and other associations, schools and institutions, but also many private citizens, are working to maintain those cooperative relationships with such great commitment and enthusiasm.
