Worth doing

The trails are of different lengths, and each describes a loop around the “Window of Theux”, offering views of numerous sights of the region.  

Several markets and festivals take place throughout the year, for instance the unique crafts market held on the first Sunday in June, but only in even-numbered years, or the flea market on the banks of the Hoegne on the first Saturday in July. At the Medieval Fair of Franchimont in and around the castle, visitors can witness dancers, musicians, jugglers, and craftsmen, and even jousting knights from the Middle Ages. This event always takes place on the third weekend in August in odd-numbered years.

On the Saturday after each November 1st, the Theux Tourism Association presents a blessing of the horses, a horse parade, and a mass accompanied by bugle music.
